Long hours and many days
So I have had many computers come my way in the past month. Being at a computer repair store that is bound to happen. My favorite jobs have been a toshiba laptop, a hp desktop, and a macbook pro. The toshiba.... This was fun. A guy came in our store with usb port problems and when his girl started saying "I told you, it was your fault," he hit her in the face with it. The entire laptop was destroyed and she was knocked the "f" out. Bleeding on the floor I grabbed the nearest item (a old white tower about to be thrown away) I ran and hit him in the face with it. I had to throw it away. We called the ambulance and he was arrested for battery and inducing panic. The desktop was a older one, Full to the brim with dust. Our shop vac filled on the first run. When working on the mac, a woman wanted windows 7 on it. funny thing she got a disk but no key.....so we put drivers on and installed cod black ops for her and told her she has 30 days till it dies. lol.

It's been a while! sorry!
I have been working at Columbus Computer Connection for the past few weeks. So I have not been able to keep all of you up to date. The most recent job was a compaq. It was from 2001. Had to upgrade the video card and put Windows 7 on it. Which wasn't too bad because knowing how awesome programmers have come. I only ended up needing to get two drivers from the web. I have fixed, mother boards with reflows, updated keyboards, replaced screens, power - jacks. Pretty much everything you can do on a computer hardware wise I have had to do it in the past few weeks. It is fun to see all of the different excuses people have for not cleaning their computers. A woman came in with a desktop. When the side got opened a pile of dust fell out on the floor. Not some, not just bunnies but about a stack 4 inches tall and half a foot long. When asked about why she never at least took a leaf blower to it or vacuumed it out. She said "I don't use it, my son does." So....yeah. please take care of your technology. It may be old and dying but its your garbage. lol.

Garage Repairs and Naked Women!!!!
I was in a garage working in someones mancave. All of the walls were covered in pictures of women from Maxim, Playboy, Hustler, etc. So many women!!!!! It was hard to keep focused but in the end I pulled it out. Got three jobs done in one sitting. Of course, every computer repairer hates telling someone that you did your best but in the long run, its time to buy new.....OUCH! Then again when parts die, they die. Well it was fun. Lot's of naked women, gotta work on computers, and I saw more t.v.'s in a garage than I would know what to do with. HOW AWESOME IS THAT!!!!!!!!!

building a comp, and swapped towers for two people.
so today I had to buy a used computer and stuff a slim-line into a hp tower. rough. I hate firewire. Any who, I also had the oppertunity to fix another computer at the same time buy hitting craigslist for 3 desktops for 40 bucks deal. Luckily I did that because I really needed the power supply. Thanks to my friend chris it got done twice as fast. I can always count on him to help me in tough situations.

geeks helping geeks
I love helping out friends with comps. My buddy works on them too and he asked me to help him. I mean the idea of ram. When an O.S. takes 512mb and you only have 512mb you use it up when its turned on. so the idea of doing anything else is just hilariously wrong. man simple mistakes. too bad its an emachine desktop and it will cost them 46 bucks just cuz its old and still on ddr. man, its been a while since i dealt with having that stuff.
